Yesterday we reported on a house fire that damaged a portion of the apartment that Dawn Hijinio and her family were staying in. The fire broke out on Tuesday afternoon while Hijinio and her two children were asleep. Initially, the fire was believed to be a case of arson, but this morning ASP Alejandro Cowo says that the cause has not been determined.
ASP Alejandro Cow
“It was just a minor sofa and a table that was damaged, reference that arson. We cannot say it’s arson yet because the fire department is still investigating. It is almost completed but they have mentioned to us that it can possibly be an electrical problem, not an arson. You have to understand that arson Is when somebody actually lights up a building. When there is a house fire there are many causes of the house fire that has to be determined by the fire department.”
The building is owned by Lorna Wade.
