Benque Police are investigating a Tuesday night shooting. It happened at the Churchill Street at the residence of Roberto Galvez. By the time police responded, Galvez had been rushed to the San Ignacio Community hospital after sustaining gunshot injuries. ACP Joseph Myvett told the media what investigators have gathered.
ACP Joseph Myvette Head, National Crime Investigation Branch: “Initial investigation revealed that some time around 9:40 PM Mr. Galves arrived at his home on his motorcycle where he was met by a hispanic male person dressed in dark clothing who fired several shots towards his direction. As a result he received three gunshot injuries to his left arm and one to the left side of his abdomen. He was further transported to the Western Regional Hospital where he is listed in a stable condition. A victim was interviewed where he could not specifically give a motive however he indicated that he does know his attacker by face.”
