Tonight, police are still unable to determine the identity of a man, whose body was found yesterday in western Belize*.* As we reported, the man’s body, which had injuries to the face, was found near the Macal River in San Ignacio. Police say that next to it there was a blood-stained log. Meanwhile, in southern Belize, police are also trying to identify a man whose body was found near a boat dock on the Placencia Lagoon. All police have is a first name, Elias, go to by. His roommate reported that Elias got into a canoe heading across the lagoon into Placencia just after eight-thirty this morning. Three hours later, he was seen in the canoe and it is reported that while paddling, Elias capsized and downed. There was no sign of physical injuries on the body.
