Police Officer Among Four Charged for Murder

A police officer and three other men have been charged for the murder of 42-year-old Shawn Ortiz Campbell. In the wee hours of Monday morning, Campbell and a friend got into an altercation with a group of men after leaving an establishment on Jaguar Avenue in the Faber’s Road area. During the scuffle, Campbell was stabbed in the chest and fell to the pavement. He was taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, where he succumbed around five that morning. Yesterday, police arrested and jointly charged four men for the murder, namely, Police Constable Peter Perez, Kyle Domingo, Gasman Jones, and Charles Brown. Ortiz was a taxi driver of Fern Lane and a father of six children.
