A police officer is recovering after he was involved in a road traffic accident on the George Price Highway. Cayo Correspondent Fem Cruz has the details.

Fem Cruz, Cayo Correspondent: Aniki Martinez, Corporal of Police attached to the Belmopan Police Sub formation is hospitalized at the Western Regional Hospital in Belmopan following yesterday afternoon’s motorcycle accident on the George Price Highway. Information is that Corporal Martinez, a 44 year-old resident of La Democracia Village was on his way to Belmopan to work when sometime around 3:30 p.m that same evening upon reaching the stretch on Harmonyville the motorcycle he was driving experienced a front wheel blowout and as a result he lost control of the motorcycle and fell on the pavement. He was rushed to the Western Regional Hospital by Belmopan Ambulance where it was revealed that he sustained a right broken ankle, injuries to both hands and complained of pain to the entire body. He is presently admitted to ward in a stable condition.”
