Police Raid in Belama Phase 3 Leads to Major Drug Bust, Woman Charged

A Police raid in the Belama Phase 3 area has led to the confiscation of marijuana, amphetamines and cocaine. The operation was conducted yesterday afternoon at around one thirty on Rhamdas Street. When the search occurred, a 47-year-old woman confined to a wheelchair, Audrey Maheia, was home alone when Police came across sixteen parcels of marijuana weighing a total of eight thousand five hundred and twenty four grams. Additionally found were forty four point eight grams of methamphetamines; two point six grams of cocaine and a separately hidden 50 grams of marijuana. Police also came across one thousand five hundred and fifty dollars in cash. The woman explained to Police that her nephew, Sheldon Flowers, resides with her but he was not at home at the time. Love News understands that the drugs were found inside the nephew’s bedroom. Maheia was taken to the Belama Police Station where she was charged with three counts of possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply. She was granted bail by a Justice of the Peace due to her medical condition. Police remain on the lookout for Flowers.
