Tonight, we can report that police are seeking one man in connection with the murder of 26-year-old Jordan Bradley. On Wednesday evening, Bradley was gunned down while playing checkers at a residence in the King’s Park area of Belize City. The 4th street resident was among a group of men who were ambushed by two shooters that opened fire into the crowd, fatally wounding Bradley. His killing was believed to be an act of retaliation for the murder of 26-year-old Jeffrey Buller that happened days prior. According to ASP Fitzroy Yearwood, investigators are looking into various angles.
ASP. Fitzroy Yearwood, Public Relations Officer, Belize Police Department: “We have a person of interest that we are searching for. Investigators have sent to my office the information of this person. I have to be very careful that I don’t send out his identity in the event we would need to do an ID parade in connection with this murder. I usually say this when I’m asked that question. Whether or not you were the intended target, you ended up being that target and yes while I want to sway away from the actual fact that Bradley lost his life due to the location he was at that time. Whether or not the other persons that were playing checkers with him was the intended target, that would be determined after our investigators have established motive. We are examining several angles and we hope that this person that we are looking for could bring some sort of closure to this investigation and we are very hopeful that we could find this person still. I believe that this person is still in Belize. I would have to get some sort of clearance as to whether or not I could put out this person’s name.”
