Police Seize Over 70 Pounds of Cannabis in King’s Park Drug Bust

Twenty-four-year-old Rebecca Marlene Daniels, an unemployed Belizean woman, is in police custody tonight after officers discovered more than 70 pounds of suspected cannabis at her residence. The bust happened just after midday today, during a joint anti-drug operation in the King’s Park area of Belize City. Police executed a search warrant at Daniels’ home, where they uncovered a black plastic barrel containing 23 parcels of suspected cannabis, all tightly wrapped in transparent plastic. A second container at the scene held seven more similarly packaged parcels. The drugs were weighed on-site and amounted to a total of 70.05 pounds. Daniels was present during the search and detained by police. Investigations are ongoing, and charges are expected to be brought against her.
