Police Training Effectiveness Questioned Amidst Court Concerns

Do police officers need more training or are they simply not doing their jobs? That’s what the media asked the Commissioner of Police today after several issues with police procedures were brought up in the court case of the “Bladen Twelve.” The officers who detained the men failed to write down utterances made by the men after they were cautioned, making the statements inadmissible in court.  Williams was asked to weigh in on the concern today and stated that the police are continuously trained but may not be utilizing the information.
