President of the NWC says violence against women must end

Domingo’s senseless murder has sparked a furor among members of the public, who are demanding justice for the young mother. The National Women’s Commission (NWC) has joined in on the call and says violence against women must come to an end. NWC President, Thea Garcia-Ramirez says the fact that Domingo is the second woman to be killed in less than three months is a startling reminder that change is needed. Garcia-Ramirez explained that the young mother’s murder will not affect her, but her family and children.
