Prime Minister Briceno Discusses Climate Change and Regional Cooperation in The Bahamas

Prime Minister, John Briceno, recently returned from Nassau, Bahamas where he attended the Caribbean Leaders Meeting. Briceno met with US Vice President, Kamala Harris, where the two spoke about issues of climate change and resilience, energy and food security, and access to multilateral financing as well as climate smart technology for agriculture and regional cooperation and citizen security issues with a special focus on Haiti. Briceno stated that his intervention highlighted the impact climate change has had on Belize’s traditional practices once used by Mayan ancestors.
