Prime Minister John Briceno Addresses Sarstoon River Tensions Amid Drug Trafficking Concerns

Belizeans are being chased from the Sarstoon due to drug trafficking, and not the territorial differendum.  This is what Prime Minister John Briceno told a gathering earlier today in the south.  The country leader is on his second day of a tour of the Toledo District, where he met with residents of Barranco Village.  Among several issues addressed, was the hostilities of the Guatemalan Armed Forces towards Belizeans on the Sarstoon River.

It is a very bold statement, but one that Love News understands can be substantiated.  It was just over a week ago that the Prime Minister was criticized when he misspoke regarding Belize’s inability to invade Guatemala.
