Prime Minister John Briceno to Meet Pope Francis on Personal Leave to Rome

Prime Minister John Briceno is out of the country on personal leave.  Indications from the Government Press Office are that the leader has gone to the Vatican City in Rome where he will be meeting with Pope Francis.  PM Briceno left the country last Friday, December 29, and is expected back home on Sunday, January 7.  In his absence, Deputy Prime Minister, Cordel Hyde is acting as Belize’s Prime Minister.
