Psychiatric Evaluation Ordered for Woman Charged with Property Damage

A Belize City Magistrate has ordered a psychiatric evaluation for thirty-eight-year-old, Ladyville resident, Karina Lord after she was charged with damage to property. When Lord appeared in court today she was barefoot and speaking loudly. She stands accused of damaging the windshield of a vehicle belonging to Stacie Garoy. During her court appearance, Lord began speaking incoherently, and the magistrate ordered the evaluation to determine whether or not she is fit to stand trial. She has been remanded to the Belize Central Prison until October 13.
