Public Consultation on 13th Constitutional Amendment Set for Dangriga


The Constitution and Foreign Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives is inviting the public to a third public consultation on the Belize Constitution (Thirteenth Amendment) Bill, 2025. According to a release from the government, the event is part of the Committee’s ongoing efforts to promote public engagement in the legislative process.  The consultation is scheduled for Wednesday, September 24, from 10am to 4pm at the Dangriga Town Hall in Dangriga Town and is open to the public.  As a result of this upcoming consultation, the deadline for written submissions has been extended to Tuesday, September 30. Submissions should be addressed to the Clerk of the National Assembly and sent via email to ClerkNA@bna.gov.bz with the subject line “Belize Constitution (Thirteenth Amendment) Bill, 2025.”  The Committee has assured the public that all feedback, whether presented in person or in writing, will be taken into full consideration during its review process.
