Those still using kerosene lamps will see the price of keeping the lights on a bit pricier. As at midnight tonight the price per gallon will increase by five cents. Earlier today the Ministry of Finance announced that the pump price for kerosene will increase from seven dollars sixty-four cents per gallon to seven dollars sixty-nine cents per gallon. However, the prices for premium and regular gasoline, along with diesel will remain unchanged at $11.76, $11.49, and $10.70 per gallon, respectively. The Ministry notes that the price change reflects the current demand and supply conditions of crude oil in the international petroleum market and fluctuations in the acquisition price of refined fuel products in the countries from which Belize obtains its supplies.
