Punta Gorda Man Charged with Possession of Crack Cocaine Pipe

A Punta Gorda man was charged with the possession of pipe used to smoke crack cocaine. 55-year-old, Eugene Ramirez, appeared unrepresented in court today where he was read a single charge of possession of pipe. According to Police, in the wee hours of 1:40 am today, while the officers were on mobile patrol, their attention was drawn to two men walking on North Front Street. The men were searched, and Ramirez was found with a chrome metal pipe measuring 3 ¾ inch pipe in his front pants pocket. In court, Ramirez pleaded guilty to the allegation. He was fined $305.
