PUP Chairman Wishes Belizeans a Happy Easter

It’s going to be a very active Easter holiday this weekend as several social events have been scheduled across the country. Many people will be travelling, consuming alcohol, and swimming. In his Easter message, Minister Henry Charles-Usher urged Belizeans to be safe.

Henry Charles-Usher, Minister of Public Service: “I just will appeal to all Belizeans to be safe wherever you’re travelling to. Take your time. The destination won’t go anywhere. There’s no reason to be rushing on our highways, to be rushing to your destination. Take your time. Come home safe. Enjoy yourselves but be safe as well. Make sure that you continue to practise the safe measures, hygiene and so on, washing your hands, making sure that you wear your mask where you feel uncomfortable, making sure that you don’t expose yourselves to unnecessary risky situations going forward. This is a time to reflect, to look at what we’ve done in the past and to refocus on the way forward. To me, that’s the message of Easter and it’s a message I hope all Belizeans can look at and maybe move forward with.”
