PUP Heads to Dangriga for National Party Council Weekend

The People’s United Party (PUP) is heading to Dangriga this weekend for its National Party Council meeting, with a number of activities planned in the hours leading up to the signature event.  PUP Secretary General Collet Montejo says the NPC meeting is part of a wider weekend of party activities in Dangriga, with several events being organized ahead of Sunday’s major public event.

The National Party Council, commonly referred to as the NPC, is one of the PUP’s main decision-making bodies between national conventions. It brings together the party’s national executive, area representatives, standard bearers, party officers and other representatives to discuss party business, receive reports and make decisions on political and organizational matters.  Prime Minister John Briceño, Deputy Prime Minister Cordel Hyde, Dr. Zabaneh and Dangriga Mayor Robert Mariano are all expected to make presentations during the gathering. The meeting itself is scheduled for Saturday, July 4, at the Russell “Chiste” Auditorium in Dangriga, beginning at ten o’clock in the morning. It is being hosted by Dangriga Area Representative Dr. Louis Zabaneh, along with the Dangriga PUP Executive.
