A resident of Casuarina Street, Belize City is in a stable condition after surviving gunshot injuries on Sunday morning. 24-year-old Raheem Gordon was reportedly sitting inside a Chevy Equinox SUV with another male person when two gunmen approached the vehicle from the driver’s side and fired multiple shots in their direction. Gordon was shot multiple times and taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital for medical care. Love News spoke to his mother, Elsiemae Richard who said that the violence in the area has become unbearable.
According to Senior Superintendent Hilberto Romero there is an ongoing rivalry in the area that may have led to yesterday’s shooting.
