Real Estate Agent Detained for Questioning in Connection to Ricardo Borja’s Killing

Reports to our newsroom indicate that Frik de Meyere has been detained by the Police for questioning into the killing of Ricardo Borja.  De Meyere is the real estate guy who Borja was in business with, but later turned informant for the Lands Department.  It is suspected that Borja was killed after a recording of his statement as an informant was leaked into the public domain.  Love News understands that Borja was expected in court on August 22 but was killed on August 19 before he could make a court appearance on the matter.  Frik de Meyere is a big-time real estate agent in southern Belize who was allegedly engaged in a scheme that Borja was prepared to testify on.  As we noted, de Meyere is detained for questioning and has not been arrested or charged.
