Red Bank Village Chairman Kenroy Cal Charged with Rape

Kenroy Cal, the 24-year-old Chairman of Red Bank Village, Stann Creek District has been charged with rape. The charge was levied against him on Monday, August 19. Also charged was a construction worker, 21-year-old, Ralph Acal with abetment to commit rape. The charges against the two men stem from an incident that reportedly happened on Sunday at around three thirty in the morning. According to the 21-year-old complainant, she was taken to a building behind Happy Ranch in Santa Cruz Village where she was threatened if she screamed, and subsequently raped. The victim reported the matter to the Police and an investigation was launched. Acal was charged for abetment as he reportedly stood watch as Cal committed the crime. The two accused have refused to cooperate with investigators and have obtained the legal services of Attorney Hamilton.
