Restaurant Owner Fatally Shot in Early Morning Robbery in Santa Elena

A restaurant owner was fatally shot early this morning near his place of business in Santa Elena, Cayo District. Sheng Wen Wu arrived at the store at around three o’clock this morning when he was confronted by two men who demanded money. Wu told the robbers that he had no money, and attempted to escape by running down the highway towards the Hawksworth Bridge. The men caught up with him and shot him a few blocks away from where he had exited his Toyota Forerunner. Police responded to the crime scene, in front of the Social Security building in Santa Elena Town. Love News understands that seven 9mm bullet casings were found, including five Aguilla and two Luger brand.
