Restaurateurs have been giving the green light to fully restore services. This change comes with some conditions. According to the Prime Minister, the requirement for social distancing will be crucial for restaurants to reopen.
Rt. Hon. Dean Barrow, Prime Minister of Belize: “We’re changing that so that in fact depending on your square footage, depending on your space you can have more than ten persons in the restaurant at the same time. You have to have the tables set apart so that you observe the social distancing protocol and you can’t have more than ten person at any one table, ten persons of the same party can be at a table together but that number can’t exceed ten but by and large then countrywide restaurants are not any longer going to be restricted in a sort of open or clear fashion without restriction, sort of inflexible fashion to only having ten persons – no you can go above the ten persons if you have the space to accommodate more than ten.”
