Love News spoke with one of Montero’s close friends, who explained that not too long before he met his untimely demise, he was socializing with friends.

Voice of Family Friend: “They were here at the home downstairs chilling and they decided to leave the house and went to the back of the house to have a socialization and while he decided to leave after eleven last night, about eleven nineteen we heard gunshots and while that gunshot went off we were shocked because we know that he had just left the house and when we ran out I heard my brother crying Floyd died and I said “It can’t be” So when we decided to come outside and check yes indeed Floyd was on the ground motionless and to be honest we honestly don’t know what happened, who targeted him and why and which direction they came from because this is the family land and no one has ever come behind here to target anyone or had any sort of problem but it’s just shocking to know that this happened directly in the area and never expected this to happen at this time so we are all in shock.”

Giovanna Moguel for Love News: Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding Montero’s tragic death.  His friends say that at this stage it is uncertain, but they feel as though he was being targeted for some time leading up to his death.

Voice of Family Friend: “I can’t really say but I feel like yes someone was targeting him because how would they know that he was at this area ? And where did they even show up from ?”

Giovanna Moguel for Love News: ASP Fitzroy Yearwood says initial investigations do not indicate that Montero was involved in any illicit activities. Giovanna Moguel for Love News.
