Robbery at Lakers Mini Mart Leaves Store Owner and Child Traumatized

Three young men on bicycles carried out a robbery at Lakers Mini Mart on Lawrence Avenue at around five o’clock yesterday evening.  Surveillance video surfaced last night showing one of them standing watch outside the store, while the other two went inside, and ran out a few minutes later.  According to the Police blotter, 44-year-old, Keisha Young was inside the store along with her 10-year-old child when the robbers entered.  The men held them up with a firearm, demanded money, and left with Young’s IPhone Eleven, and an estimated five hundred and sixty dollars cash.  Love News spoke with Young earlier today, but she had declined doing an interview.  She did say, however, that she has been serving that community in the Lake Independence area for more than 15 years, and that she is disappointed that young persons would do such a thing.  Love News understands that the cops have identified the robbers, and will be making arrests soon.
