Ryan McCullock walked free from attempted murder charges yesterday in the High Court of Justice Derick Sylvester after the victims in the case refused to testify.  On Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2023, 21-year-pld, Harrison Parks, and his 16-year-old cousin were shot and injured in a drive-by shooting on Edwin Parks Avenue in the Lords Bank area.  Despite four visits from the Crown, both victims maintained their refusal to testify against McCullock. As a result, the Crown was forced to enter a “nolle prosequi,” effectively dropping the charges.  The facts of the case indicate that at around 8:30 p.m. on February 14, 2023, Parks was walking on Edwin Parks Avenue when a grey vehicle drove by and opened fire. Both Parks and his cousin were injured in the shooting.  The motive for the shooting remains unclear.  Following the shooting, Parks reportedly refused to cooperate with police investigators.  The minor victim, while stating she had seen the shooter, was unable to identify him. As a result, no identification parade was conducted.
