Public sector workers and teachers will be seeing the ten-percent salary cut, which they lost in 2021 being returned to their pay checks starting July 1. After the cut, the Briceno government had indicated that it will reinstate those wages. In a circular from CEO of the Ministry of the Public Service, Rolando Zetina, while the ten percent is returned so are the public service’s working hours. That means, come July 1, normal working hours will be from eight in the morning until five in the evenings, Monday to Thursday and 4:30 on Fridays. The memo adds quote “Furthermore, you are reminded of the continuous (uninterrupted) service to the public, which includes the lunch hour of 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m.” End quote. Again, come the first of July, you can access any of Government’s services during your lunch break.
