Salvation Army’s Major Jonathan Kellman Bids Farewell to Belize

The Salvation Army is bidding farewell to its District Commander Major Jonathan Kellman. Major Kellman, who has been posted to Belize twice, is set to leave for Jamaica at the end of this month. During the last four years, he has worked in collaboration with groups such as the Rotary Club of Belize, and public sector entities such as the National Emergency Management Organization and the Ministry of Human Development. He stopped by Love Studios today to speak on his new appointment, and to let us know that his parting is “bittersweet.”

Kellman will be succeeded by Majors Marc Eddy and Gertha Momplaisir, who he assures will continue to the Salvation Army’s work of service to those in need. Prime Minister John Briceno bid Major Kellman and his family farewell yesterday at the National Independence Day Ceremony in Belmopan
