San Estevan Villager dies in road traffic incident

Over the weekend, a resident of San Estevan Village, Orange Walk District, lost his life in a road traffic incident. On Saturday night, around nine o’clock police were called out to the San Estevan Road and found a motorcycle and a Ford F-150 pickup truck, both extensively damaged. According to reports, 31-year-old Edwin Ismael Ramirez, lost control of his motorcycle, and swerved into the oncoming Ford F-150. Assistant Commissioner of Police, Hilberto Romero, says the driver of the pickup 55-year-old, John Diaz Arredondo, attempted to avoid Ramirez but was unsuccessful. 

The brother of the deceased, Joel Ramirez, says he is the third sibling to be involved in an accident.  One of the brothers is now confined to a wheelchair, and the other is now dead.
