San Ignacio Resident Charged for Damage to Property and Indecent Exposure

A San Ignacio resident has been charged for damage to property and exposing himself in public.  Twenty-one-year-old Mayron Myvett appeared unrepresented in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Tehri-Ann Brown. He pleaded guilty to the damage to property but not guilty to exposing himself in public. Magistrate Brown decided to defer sentencing until his second matter has been resolved and granted Myvett bail in the sum of six hundred dollars. The complainant, Myvett’s aunt, alleges he exposed himself to her inappropriately while she was driving her vehicle between Miles three and four on the Philip Goldson Highway on July 16. She also alleged that he caused over four thousand dollars of damage to her property including smashing the windshield of her vehicle after she refused to let him into her home. Myvett is due back in court on September 1.
