San Pedro Police Officer Charged for Stealing Casino Chips from Detainee

A Police officer attached to the San Pedro formation has been arrested and charged for reportedly stealing casino chips from a detainee.  28-year-old, Keir Roebin David Morey, was caught on video taking three hundred and twenty dollars’ worth of casino chips that was logged in by a bartender who was in Police detention.  Love News understands that the detainee, Kevin Salazar, was picked up at the Palm Casino on September 10 by Police on drug charges.  After he was taken to court and freed, Salazar went to retrieve his items from the police station the following day.  It was at that point that he realized the casino chips he had were taken.  He filed a report at the very same station.  A review of the cameras inside the station reportedly identifies Morey as a suspect.  Morey was charged with theft.
