San Pedro Residents Arrested for Arson and Aggravated Assault

Two San Pedro resident are being hosted at the Belize Central Prison after they fired shots at Eliezar Davis Aldana and then allegedly setting a boat on fire. The incident unfolded on Friday, August 2 as Aldana was heading to Tranquility Bay. Reports say that while Aldana was traveling in a rented boat, the two bullies pursued and caught up with Aldana telling him that he has no business in the area. Aldana drove off and then realized that he was being shot at. He was able to dock at his destination, and ran towards the bushes to hide. When Aldana emerged, he realized that this boat was taken further into the waters and set on fire. The two accused, 24-year-old, John Carlos and 27-year-old, Hector Pop were taken to court today for arson and aggravated assault with a dangerous instrument. The duo obtained the legal services of Orson Elrington who is expected to apply for bail on Friday.
