The man who shot and killed 46-year-old Matthew Moses is claiming he did so in self-defense. Last month, Moses and 27-year-old Samuel Bolanos got into an altercation in the Secret Beach of San Pedro Town. Bolanos told police that Moses, who had previously threatened his life, aggressed him, resulting in him pulling his license firearm. Moses was shot several times in the head and back and died on the scene. Today, Commissioner of Police Chester Williams weighed in on the incident and stated that Bolanos claims he acted in self-defense.

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police: “I would not be able to speak to that. Whenever we have these issues when a person raises self defense in a fatal shooting or stabbing or beating the file must go to the office of the DPP and a rep from the DPP’s office goes through the file and direct the police on what charges to be levied on the individual.”
Moses reportedly had been having misunderstandings with Bolanos and the owner of the property, Bolanos was hired to manage.
