Over the weekend, residents of Blue Creek Village, Toledo received donations of food packages and footwear from a group of Good Samaritans from the west. The 27th Troop of the Cayo Jaguar Scouts was assisted by the Ministry of Human Development to distribute over a hundred food packages and 300 tennis shoes to the villagers. The items were donated by residents in the United States of America to be distributed to families in Belize. Aiden Flowers, Scout Leader of the Troop, spoke about how the initiative was made possible.
Flowers added that similar initiatives will be done in other communities soon.
