Santa Elena Man Killed in Machete Attack, Family Disputes Official Story

61-Year-Old Ubaldo Guzman Sr. was killed last night following an altercation with his roommate that escalated into a machete attack. The incident occurred at around 10:30pm at his home on Andrews Street in Santa Elena Town, Cayo District. According to police reports, the 43-year-old man who was socializing with Guzman made a statement saying that they had gotten into an argument. The report further noted that during the altercation, Guzman allegedly attacked the room mate with a machete, but was overpowered.  The struggle continued and Guzman ended up with fatal chop wounds.  There is much speculation from the family of Guzman as the eldest son, Ubaldo Guzman Jr, explained in an interview that his father was crippled in his arm, so it is highly unlikely that he could have attacked the roommate. The son further spoke to Love News about the unfortunate circumstances surrounding his father’s death.
