The Food Pantry Program, which was launched last week, has seen plenty of issues that needed to be ironed out. In order to comply with social distancing regulations, the Ministry of Human Development, Social Transformation, and Poverty Alleviation, has created a schedule for residents in Belize City to pick-up their supplies.

The Food Pantry Program, which was launched last week, has seen plenty of issues that needed to be ironed out. In order to comply with social distancing regulations, the Ministry of Human Development, Social Transformation, and Poverty Alleviation, has created a schedule for residents in Belize City to pick-up their supplies. The schedule follows a surname basis and is done in alphabetical order. For the outlet at the Wellworth Store, on Monday residents with the last names beginning with A – E are able to visit the Pantry. On Tuesday, it is those from F – J; Wednesday it is K – O, Thursday it is P – U, and on Friday it is V – Z. This Pantry is open from 11am to 4pm. The outlet at the Pickstock Development Association will cater to those with surnames from A – H on Wednesday; I – Q on Thursday; and R – Z on Friday. This pantry operates from 9:30am to 3pm. The Salvation Army on Regent Street operates from 9am to 12pm and on Tuesday it is letters A – H; on Thursday it is I – Q; and on Friday it is R – Z. The Salvation Army on Oleander Street will cater to those with surnames from A – F on Tuesday; G – M on Wednesday; N – S on Thursday; and T – Z on Friday. They operate from 9am to 12pm. The Ministry is reminding beneficiaries to present their pantry card when picking up their supplies. Expired cards will still be accepted.
