Scholarship Fund Honors Late Head of Leadership Intervention Unit’s Legacy

William Dawson – he was the head of the Leadership Intervention Unit (LIU), who seemed to have been making significant progress in addressing the gang situation in Belize City.  Unfortunately, his works came at a standstill when he passed away in January this year.  Dawson left a vacuum within the LIU, not only for his works but for his passion as well.  To date, he is remembered by his comrades and colleagues via a basketball tournament, and now through a scholarship fund.  The fund was officially launched today after Attorney General, Anthony Sylvestre came up with the idea.

Also present at today’s launch was the Minister of Education, Francis Fonseca.

Dawson died at the age of 43.
