“Street Law”: it may be a good title for an action flick, but for school leaders, it meant that for the last two days, they learned why the law is important. More so, that knowledge will then be imparted on their school students. The facilitator was Doctor Christopher Malcolm, the Executive Director of Street Law Caribbean, who explained some of what participating school administrators learned.
According to Doctor Malcolm, because the rule of law is an intrinsic part of everyday living, everyone should understand their fundamental rights and responsibilities. He’s hoping schools can better equip students with this knowledge.
Administrators, who participated, represented various high schools in the west and south. More on this tomorrow.
