A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Belize Scout Foundation and the Scouts Association of Belize today at the home of Scouts on Albert Street. The building, named after former Governor-General Sir Colville Young, is the product of more than three decades. The foundation chairman, Doctor Rene Villanueva, Sr. spoke on the significance of the agreement.
The President of the Scouts Association of Belize is Fernando Oliva, who explained that his organisation is thankful for the efforts of those involved.
Funding for the building came in part from the Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan), the Baron Bliss Trust, the foundation’s directors, and fundraising efforts by the Scouts Association.
