Search Efforts Underway in Valley of Peace After Canoe Capsizes, One Man Missing

Search efforts are currently underway in the Valley of Peace area where one man went under and has yet to resurface.  Reports say that at around two thirty this afternoon two men were in a canoe when the vessel capsized.  One of the paddlers was able to resurface but search and rescue efforts had to be put into effect immediately.  Responding to the area were members of the National Emergency Management Organization and the Belize Search and Rescue Team (BSART).  Information is limited at this hour but our correspondent did speak with someone in the area.
