Senate Debates US$6.2M COVID Loan

A US six point two million dollars loan motion was this morning approved by the Senate. At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the government approached the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development for financial assistance to implement the Covid-19 Emergency Response Project. The project was undertaken by the Ministry of Health and Wellness to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. But this isn’t a new loan- the monies have been disbursed and spent.
