Senator Britney Galvez Appointed to House Staff Committee Amid Pushback

Senator Britney Galvez had the spotlight on her in the Senate on Friday when the Senator for Government Business, Eamon Courtenay, announced that she was being named to the National Assembly’s Staff committee.  The first to raise issue with the selection was lead senator for the opposition, Patrick Faber followed by Union Senator, Glenfield Dennison.  Despite their concerns, however, the matter was pushed through without any further discussions.  Here is how that played out in the House.

Senator Galvez’ appointment was announced on March 20 as a PUP representative.  She is the youngest Senator to serve in Belize’s history
