Latest information reaching our newsroom is that Senator Eamon Courtenay will be demitting office at the Ministry of Foreign Trade, Foreign Affairs and Immigration. Courtenay took on the post back in November 2020 as part of the Briceno cabinet. Love News understands that he had only committed for a 3-year period which expires this year. It is our further understanding Courtenay’s departure will create a slight shuffle in the Cabinet with Education Minister, Francis Fonseca, replacing Courtenay. Fonseca’s replacement is yet to be confirmed, but we have been told that Dr. Louis Zabaneh may be taking up that mantle. Courtenay will return to his private law practice, just as former CEO Kevin Arthurs had done earlier this year.
