
Seven Belizeans honoured by King Charles III

Seven Belizeans were today conferred appointments to the Order of the British Empire. It marks the first set of Belizeans to be honoured by King Charles III as part of the New Year Honours 2022. Businessman, Sean Feinstein is now Commander of the British Empire (CBE) for service in entrepreneurship and to the community. Appointments for Order of the British Empire (OBE) include Justice Michelle Arana for her service to the field of law and public service and businessman, Gordon Christopher Roe for service to entrepreneurship and the community. Appointments for Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) include President of the Belize National Teachers’ Union, Senator Elena Smith, for her service to education and trade unionism; Florencia Castillo for her service to the community; Doctor Marcelo Coyi for his service to the medical profession and the community and Joel “Dara” Robinson for his service to the community. The Investiture Ceremony was held at the Belize House in Belmopan. The event was hosted by Governor General, Dame Froyla Tzalam.
