Several home invasion style burglaries plague communities

There were two other home invasion style assaults.  Taxi Driver Roy “Bullet” Craig is back in the news but this time the 76-year-old finds himself a victim and not the accused. Craig was stabbed at least two times by one of three men who barged into his house on Sunday morning. There is no official police report on the incident but we have confirmed that Craig is currently hospitalized at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital. We understand that the men broke Craig’s front door and demanded money. Reports indicate that when he could not provide any, he was stabbed in his arm and back. We will keep following the story. Another home invasion occurred but this time arrests were made. Two persons, 28 year old  Glenford Diego and a 16-year-old boy, were charged with aggravated burglary in court today. Both are accused of entering the home of former Fire Chief Henry Baizar, located in Lord’s Bank, whilst armed with firearms. They pleaded not guilty to the charge. They were remanded into custody until January 28, 2019. Carolyn Baizar, the wife of Henry Baizar, reported that the incident occurred around 9:28 a.m. on November 23. She told police that as she was about to leave her house and was coming out of the front door when a man who had his head and face covered by a shirt, came running from behind the house.  She said he held something that resembled a firearm. She said the man grabbed her blouse and tried to pull her inside her house but she grabbed on to the metal gate and that prevented the man from getting her inside. She said she ran out into the street and called for help but saw another person armed with a firearm coming from behind the house. When police arrived the culprits had already left. When she checked her house nothing was missing. Police later apprehended Diego and the boy and charged them. A third person was involved in the incident but he was not apprehended.
