Today’s House Meeting got underway just after ten o’clock this morning. Within the first thirty minutes hostilities flew across between both sides of government, forcing the Speaker of the House, Valerie Woods to stand twice, ordering everyone to be silent. In between the insults hurled during today’s session, several issues of national concerns were brought to the forefront including the housing issue. Things escalated quickly between Minister Julius Espat and Member Shyne Barrow.
The sparks continue to fly across the floor with several points of order being raised within the first half of the sitting. Here is another snippet of the not so honorable performances at the National Assembly.
