Shooter gets bystander instead of target

There was one shooting incident that occurred over the weekend. ASP Cowo says a gunman missed his target and the stray bullet hit Darrell Berry after seven o’clock on Sunday night.

ASP ALejandro Cowo: “Just after 7pm Mr. Darrell Berry 29 year old Belizean of Hunters Lane was riding his bicycle heading from Faber’s Rd. towards the George price highway just before the Puma Gas Station when he was approached by a short dark skin male person who fired several shots at this direction injuring him  to the right knee and to the left leg. He was admitted to hospital, he was treated and then he was discharged the same night. What the investigation has shown us is that there was an argument between the suspected shooter and somebody else. The person fired a shot and at the same time the next person was passing and he was injured.”

The shooter has not been detained but the police department is looking for a particular suspect.
