A Belize City man was shot Tuesday night just after six o’clock as he stopped at a food stall to make a purchase. 30-year-old Godwin Flowers was on Curassow Street, near his home, buying food when the shooter came from the direction of Supal Street and fired a shot in his direction. According to Superintendent Alejandro Cowo, Flowers was taken to the hospital in a stable condition.
ASP Alejandro Cowo, Head, Crimes Investigation Branch, Belize City: “Tuesday at about 6:20 police visited the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where they observed Mr.Godwin Flores, a 30 year old Belizean of a Curassow Street address, he was seen with an apparent gunshot wound to the body. What we understand is that Mr.Godwin was purchasing food in front of a small food stall on Curassow Street when he was approached by someone who fired a single shot at him.”
Flowers was discharged the day after he was shot.
