Bowen and Bowen Company is suing Troy “DJ Dalla” Flowers for a sum of approximately twenty-nine thousand dollars based on a consignment between the company and Flowers. As a result, Flowers is now pursuing a lawsuit against Belize’s Music Ambassador Shyne Barrow, saying that Barrow is the one responsible for payment. The case began unfolding when Barrow reportedly used Flowers’ consignment account for Music Week 2019. According to Flowers’ attorney, Kareem Musa, Barrow has his signature on the consignment, but payments were not made on his behalf. As is, indications are that the matter might not reach a courtroom as explained by Attorney Musa.
Kareem Musa, PUP Area Representative, Caribbean Shores: “We haven’t gotten to that stage yet. The payments that are going to be made to Belize Brewing Company will come up in February next month so we will arrange with that but like I said he will according to the negotiations that are currently taking place Shyne Barrow et all – I don’t know who they are will be taking on those payments to Belize Brewing Company in the form of monthly installments I am aware. As you know contracts take many forms, in this instance we have not only Mr.Barrow’s signature on the consignment, like I said he doesn’t have access to the consignment it is Dj Dalla’s consignment but Shyne Barrow’s signature is on it so that shows that he was involved in getting those products. We also have Whatsapp messages and of course we have the oral agreement between the parties. We have already drafted it, we were filing it today, my client has already signed on to the claim however like I said I was contacted by him a few minutes prior to giving this interview to inform me that they have arrived at a settlement.”
Aside from the unpaid consignment on drinks, Flowers claims he was not paid for his services rendered during Music Week 2019.
